MURDER BY FAMILY...

i watched Oprah last nite and d topic was about a book titled "Murder by Family"... google it to find out more...or just surf into Oprah's website to read further...

thing is...is it justifiable for you to murder your family becoz u just cannot live up to their expectations anymore?...yes, parents can be demanding, too demanding at times...but it does not mean that you can kill them rite?...wat kind of excuse is that?

but upon hearing the son's side of the story...i think that though we may not have murder in mind and i certainly do not condone his actions BUT, many of us could relate to his story...according to the son named Bart..."he could give explanations on why he felt inadequate or that his family didn't love him, but that there is a difference between reasons and excuses and he couldn't make excuses for what he did. Bart explained that his parents loved an idealized version of him and didn't love the real him, and for that he loved and hated them at the same time. Bart went on to say that the feelings became heavy in high school and eventually he tired of feeling like a failure and he wanted his life to be different. Bart blamed his parents for his existence and for that he wanted revenge..."
What do you think??? dont we as our parents' daughter/son sometimes feel that we juz wanna be free from our family's expectations & dreams? dat we juz wanna be us without having to behave differently infront of our parents?...
